Check out the polls on this page and provide feedback for our inquiring minds! We’ll keep the surveys that appear in blog posts here, for a one stop spot with all of our ongoing polls.
I appreciate all the work you’ve been doing to improve bus service for the citizens of Cedar Rapids. I totally agree with you that it’s SO difficult to figure out the service from the website. The maps are so small, they’re barely readable. I was thinking we might want to collaborate to create a map with the different routes using Google Maps. Do others think this would be helpful?
Thanks for your support Becky! I would love some collaboration on Google Map routes and have actually started with my husband, but there is still work to be done. Check out http://crtransit.apphb.com/ to see where we are now. It is certainly not pretty yet and doesn’t include the latest changes. It is also a little off in tricky areas like routes that go through parking lots (Lindale, Walmart, etc.). Some opportunities for help include the visual layout, Google Maps API usage tweaking, and cleaning up the stop locations. These range from heavy knowledge of programming to simple text editing, so let me know what you would be most able to help with and we’ll find a way to get you set up!
